Scope and Sequence

Formation, Week by Week.

This is the actual content your men would walk through, not a summary of ideas still waiting to be written.

Phase 01
Identity & Sonship
Weeks 1 through 8
Who are you?
Sons live from acceptance. Formation begins by separating identity from performance and learning to live from what's already true.
Week 01
Identity & Sonship: Who Are You?
Sons live from acceptance. Orphans perform to get it. Separating identity from performance and writing a Sonship Declaration.
Romans 12:1–2 (Memory) · Romans 8:14–17 · Galatians 4:1–7 · 2 Corinthians 5:17
Week 02
Authority Without Arrogance
Kingdom authority flows from sonship, not ego. Passivity and domineering are both rooted in pride. Learning decisive obedience.
Ephesians 4:21–24 (Memory) · Matthew 28:18 · Matthew 20:26–28 · 1 Peter 5:2–3
Week 03
Responsibility Is a Gift
Responsibility reframed as blessing, not burden. God gives responsibility to men He trusts, seen through Moses, David, and the widow's oil.
Genesis 1:28 · Luke 16:10 · Galatians 6:5 · 1 Peter 4:10
Week 04
Identity Under Pressure
Pressure reveals identity. Jesus was affirmed before He was tested. Men think, act, then feel. Boys feel, act, then think.
Matthew 3:16–17 · Matthew 4:1–11 · James 1:2–4 · Proverbs 17:3
Week 05
Authority Under God
Authority under authority. Saul's positional authority against David's biblical authority. Submission is a heart posture, and obedience is the outward act.
Matthew 8:8–9 · Romans 13:1 · James 4:10 · Luke 12:48
Week 06
Responsibility and Stewardship
Caleb and the other spies. Filtering circumstances through God's word rather than filtering God's word through circumstances.
Numbers 13 · Numbers 14:6–9 · 1 Corinthians 4:2 · Matthew 25:21
Week 07
Calling vs Ambition
Week 08
Winepress Moments
Phase 02

Weeks 9 through 16
Who are you becoming?
Character, discipline, emotional strength, stewardship, habits, and self examination, all built on the identity established in Phase One.
Week 09
Character and Integrity
Week 10
Discipline and Self Governance
Week 11
Emotional Strength for Men
Week 12

Here's How Week 1 Opens.

Every session is ready for a lay leader to facilitate.

Formation · Phase One · Week 1 of 24
Identity & Sonship
Romans 12:1–2 (Memory Verse) · Romans 8:14–17 · Galatians 4:1–7 · 2 Corinthians 5:17

Every man in this room has been living out of one of two identities his entire life. The orphan, who performs for a place at the table, or the son, who already has one. This week isn't about adding a new habit. It's about tearing down the performance and standing on what's already true.

Key Truth
Your identity as a son of God isn't a destination you're building toward. It's the ground you're standing on right now. Formation is simply learning to live from what's already true.
By the end of the week, each man will
  • Understand the difference between the son's identity and the orphan's identity
  • Write and share a Sonship Declaration with his brothers
  • Name one performance driven behavior and a plan to replace it
  • Begin memorizing Romans 12:1–2
  • Set an honest baseline to measure real change through Formation
How It Runs in Your Church

Built for Lay Leaders.

Formation isn't just content. It's a complete rhythm of teaching, brotherhood, and obedience that your men can run themselves.

Weekly Gathering
Group Sessions
A trained lay leader facilitates weekly teaching, discussion, and application. Men learn together, wrestle together, and advance together on a shared timeline.
Brotherhood Pods
Five Men. One Commitment.
Each man is placed in a pod of five who know his vision, his commitments, and his battle. They meet weekly and ask the hard questions.
Weekly Assignments
The Work Between Sessions
Formation doesn't happen in the session. It happens in the week between, in the scripture memory, the reflection, and the obedience.
